In the final quarter of 2023, the virtual fitness scene on Android in the United Kingdom has seen varied performances across leading applications. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of the downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for the top five virtual fitness programs.

Fitness, a stalwart in the fitness app domain, experienced a notable surge in downloads during the holiday season, jumping from 6K downloads at the start of Q4 to an impressive 28K by the end of December. Revenue trends showed a peak in the final week of December as well, reaching over $100K. Weekly active users saw a year-end spike to approximately 536K users.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike maintained a steady trend in user engagement with weekly active users peaking at 392K in the last week of December. The app's downloads also saw an uptick towards the end of the quarter, rising to over 9K. Revenue for Strava followed a similar upward trend, ending the quarter at around $55K.

OS Maps: Explore hiking trails also saw a rise in revenue during the holiday season, with a closing figure of approximately $37K. Downloads for the app peaked in October with 4.5K but saw a rise again in December, reaching 3.6K. The weekly active users showed a modest increase, ending the year at just over 19K.

The Body Coach: Fitness Plans demonstrated significant growth in revenue, more than doubling from the start of Q4 to reach around $43K by December's end. Downloads saw a dramatic increase in the same period, with an exceptional spike to 7.9K. Active users mirrored this positive trend, with a notable rise to nearly 39K.

Lastly, AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run showed a healthy increase in downloads to 11K by the end of December. The app's revenue also picked up towards the end of the quarter, reaching over $13K. Weekly active users showed a significant uptick in December, rising to 75K.
